Would you like to be an active member of the Town of Malta Democratic Party?

One of the goals of the Town of Malta Democratic Committee is to build a bigger and stronger Democratic Party in the Town of Malta. As Democrats we believe that local elections matter. Democrats are the “loyal opposition” and help to ensure that local government remains responsive to the needs of the community.

Building a party requires a lot of people with a lot of different ideas and skills.  As Democrats we meet for working meetings and social events.  At our meetings and social events, we discuss a variety of topics; from ways to make our community better, local government actions (or inactions), and recruiting, selecting, and supporting candidates for local and county-wide office.

Here are some of the things that you can do as an active member of the Town of Malta Democratic Party:

• Help with defining and accomplishing our goals as a party

• Work on social media outreach

• Carry petitions to get Democrats on the ballot

• Organize / Attend Events

• Help with candidate recruitment

• Fund raising

• Track & report on actions by the Town and County

• Help candidates at election time, staffing the polls on primary day or election day

In addition to being, and active, in the party we need Town Democrats to serve on the Town Democratic Committee. Election district committee representatives carry out special functions including:

• Serve as a member of the Saratoga County Democratic Committee; attend county Democratic meetings and help to select county wide candidates;

• Decide on how the Town democratic budget will be spent; and

• Carry out the administrative functions for the Town party.
